Back in Ted and we're off!

France... Spain... ?
Blogs, like buses, nothing for ages, then two in quick succession....

After a visit with Sarah, a yummy curry and a rubbish nights sleep we set off to Dover, on Friday 13th, hmmm.

The journey was fine, except for the ongoing chitchat, texts from Mum, emails from Helen and WhatsApps from Fiona (by far the most vociferous) all wanting to know whether we were really going across the channel, would we get locked down, would we get sick in a foreign language (B: she doesn't mean that, but I'm not changing it!), would we endanger others?
This might give it away
Nice campsite, but it isn't France or Spain

About an hour before our arrival at Dover we decided to abort our trip, we found a little campsite, with a cute dog, (she’s had her cataracts removed you know? Only unlike with humans they don’t give her new lenses so it takes a few months to get used to how she now sees) electricity, WiFi and a pub 5 minutes away....! (location: 51°18'28.6"N 1°13'42.9"E)

Checking on the Gov.uk website, and the motorhome forums there is little new info on France, but Spain has 1200 new Coronavirus cases, areas round Barcelona and NW Madrid are in lockdown and all bars and restaurants in the Valencia and Murcia regions are being closed from midnight tonight.... We think we’ve made the right decision, and the moment we
It's in a town called Preston (not that one!) in Canterbury, England
made it it felt like a weight had been taken from us. So we are away in Ted and at the moment in an area of the country we’ve never visited. We can travel slowly (travelling fast is our problem) while waiting to see what happens both at home and abroad.

Obviously we are thinking of my Dad and Elizabeth, in the middle of the Valencia region, and Brian’s sister and husband, Denise and Paul who are on the Costa del Sol as yet unaffected and due back on Monday, we are keeping everything crossed......

Nothing wrong with Preston, in fact its very nice - and it has an excellent pub nearby, it's just not what we planned
