Jackie and Brian were fantastic house sitters and I would have no hesitation recommending them and would love to have them back. We hit it off immediately on arrival as they sat on the floor with me petting Coco and Bella and settling in with the cats. Both girls took to them instantly, as both Jackie and Brian have a very calm energy about them. We all chatted for a while and then they gave me a lift to the station with my bag. During my trip Jackie and Brian sent many photos of the girls and it was obvious that they were very settled and behaving 'normally' with Jackie and Brian, including Bella hogging her share of the bed each night! It was lovely to know that everything was going smoothly. And Jackie and Brian kept the place beautifully, despite a couple of unexpected hiccoughs - me breaking the TV a couple of days before hand, meaning they could only watch catch up by plugging their laptop into the TV, and then while I was away, there was a problem with the hot water not running unless the heating was on. They made no mention of this while I was away. Just took it all in their stride. Thankfully it was an easy fix when the boiler man came! I returned home to a spotless house and a marvellous home made chocolate cake courtesy of Brian. The builders who were starting work the next day and I were very grateful for this scrumptious addition to the kitchen over the next few days. And it was only after Jackie and Brian left, that I realised all the other things they'd left behind them - the housesitters that just keep on giving... the lawn was mowed, there were fresh flowers arranged on the table... I must say, I felt thoroughly spoiled, and grateful! :) All in all I really can't speak highly enough of Jackie and Brian and would love to keep in touch and hopefully they have time to come back and sit for us all again.
