Our South Africa 'Trip 10' costs

Dates: 22nd December 2019 to 22nd February 2020

These are our costs for our trip to South Africa and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.

For an overall view and detail of our route, including a map, please do one of the following:
1. Click on the map below
2. Click on the tab at the top marked 'Our travels - where we've been' and then the link: 'Trip 10: South Africa and Zimbabwe' (or click here). It will be updated and contain a list of all our stops in date order with links to the relevant blog entries.

Here's our trip costs:

Overall total cost: £14990.62 (including insurance). Average daily cost: £241.78 (62 days)

Travel insurance (2 people): We arranged single trip worldwide insurance with enhanced cover through 'Its so Easy', underwritten by Millsteam Group for 74 days. It gives excellent cover for travel disruption, emergency medical expenses etc and the 'Enhanced Option' covers us for all the activities we are likely to want to do, safari, rock climbing, scuba diving etc., plus a host of other activities that we probably won't do. Cost: £295.66 for 74 days.

For more information on costs of each night of our accommodation have a look at our travel map below. If you click on the little box with a left pointing arrow at the top left it brings up a list (go to full screen by pressing the box top right for a better view). Click on each of the items listed and a new window opens showing details of that site. It includes photos, links to blog entries of that stay and details of costs to stay there. To close click the left pointing arrow. It's also possible to access this information by clicking on any of the marker tabs on the map. Again, close each one by clicking the left pointing arrow.
