Now that the pandemic is in our rear view mirrors (hopefully), we decided to recommence our travels. We'd already ventured abroad in our Motorhome in December 2021 to tour Spain and Portugal for our allotted 90 day maximum now allowed in Europe and, as that went well, we planned a trip further afield to see the iconic sights of the Pyramids, the Valley of the Kings, Petra, the Dead Sea. Yes, dear reader, Egypt and Jordan were in our sights!
Our normal travel method is to book flights only and plan our trip as we go along, but with things less than certain in these days post pandemic and the horrors in Ukraine, we decided to book a full package holiday with Explore Travel. They are ATOL registered and were in control of everything, flights, travel and accommodation which, although very organised with no flexibility for us, offered us the most secure way.
We actually did two separate trips that were run together, all arranged by Explore, to make it a longer 3.5 week trip and taking in the two countries. The itinerary is below along with an interactive map of where we stayed. Each place mark shows photos and information for each place.
